Red wine made from selected Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Refosco dal peduncolo rosso grapes, grown in the “Vigna di Rosazzo” vineyard in the heart of the Eocene hills of Friuli. These grapes ripen fully thanks to the extraordinary exposure of the vineyards and modest quantities produced.

ASPECT

Teir Vinification, traditionally on skins, is based on the harmonious use of wood and subsequent maturing in the bottle. e wine obtained is of excellent consistency and ruby red colour.

AROMA

The nose appreciates complex aromas ranging from ripe fruit to spices with scents of forest fruits, plum and black pepper.

PALATE

It is warm in the mouth, rounded and velvety. It is full-bodied, persistent and moderately tannic.

Red wine made of Merlot grapes, grown in the Colli Orientali del Friuli district. It has been awarded the right to the specification Reserve, having spent more than three years in oak barrels. The grapes were harvested and selected by hand into creates.

Dry white wine made from the pinkish-grey grapes of the homonymous grape variety grown in the “Vigna di Rosazzo” vineyard in the Colli Orientali del Friuli district. The grapes were harvested and selected by hand. Subject to soft pressing, they produced must which was initially racked off cold and fermented slowly at a low temperature.

ASPECT

The wine has a straw yellow colour with copper hues.

AROMA

The bouquet is fine and elegant with scents of wildflowers and ripe fruit.

It is dry, full and harmonious on the palate, lingering considerably.

RIBOLLA GIALLA

Friuli Colli Orientali

Dry white wine made from the native Ribolla Gialla grape variety, grown on the Eastern Friuli hills since way back in medieval times. As witnessed by numerous antique documents, this wine was once of considerable importance, and it was considered to be one of the best in the area, so much so as to be offered as a propitiatory gift to those in power as well as to the most welcome guests. It was so important that, in 1402, the Municipality of Udine decided to protect the quality with a special regulation preventing additions and mixing. In observance of tradition, the grapes are harvested by hand and selected before vinification. Fermentation takes place at a low temperature in small oak barrels. e wine then spends 10-12 months on its own fine lees. Final maturing takes place in the bottle for 6-7 months.

ASPECT

Straw yellow colour.

AROMA

Elegant, intense and fragrant aroma, with floral characteristics of acacia and yellow flowers.

PALATE

It has a dry, harmonious, enveloping and pleasantly tart, persistent flavour, with hints of yellow peaches, rennet and plum.

L‘AMBROSIE

With mythological reminiscences, “ambrosie” was the word used in the Friuli dialect to describe a particularly sweet and aromatic beverage. We wanted to recuperate this term from our spoken tradition because we think it perfectly describes this wine made with skilful and meticulous vinification of particular sweet and aromatic white grapes which have been present in our vineyards for years. After extensively studying the ripeness and the best harvesting periods for these grapes and having perfected the most suitable vinification techniques, we finally obtained a wine really worthy of the name “dessert wine”.

More or less bright straw yellow colour.

AROMA

Delicately aromatic and fragrant with a lively scent of the flowers that grow on our hills.

PALATE

Well-balanced, sweet and harmonious wine.

PICOLIT

Friuli Colli Orientali

Is is the jewel of winegrowing in Friuli. They say that it was already well-known and appreciated in ancient Rome, although its golden age was probably towards the end of the 18th century, when Count Fabio Asquini exported a grand total of over 100,000 bottles all over Europe, to grace the princely tables of London, Paris, Amsterdam, Russia and many German towns. It was also served at the Imperial and Papal courts. e peculiarity as a wine is linked with a congenital anomaly: floral abortion, which means that not all the flowers can
be fertilised. e few grapes that reach maturity are used to obtain a unique and rare wine, a wine for Kings and the King of wines.
